Innovative washing and recycling machinery for carpet and moquette
All our recycling plants are fully customized, as the configuration of a washing line can be very different depending on the type and degree of contamination of the material to be recovered.
The carpet and moquette washing and recycling plants designed by Recy Technologies are built using advanced recycling equipment and tailored recycling machinery. The recovery process is divided into several stages, based on the specific characteristics of the input material, to ensure effective fiber recycling and maximize output quality.
These are the key steps in our engineered recycling systems, designed to support efficient and sustainable post-consumer waste recycling:
Preparation, selection and prewashing
During the initial stage of the process, the first phase of dry cleaning is performed, which removes most solid contaminants, such as sand, stones, organics, and various pollutants. Using advanced technology, this stage allows for optimal resource recovery.
Next, our water-based prewash plant, thanks to its unique friction system that self-generates heat, performs further removal of contaminants, such as glue, organic residues, oils, grease, paper, soil, sand, stones, metals, and other impurities, providing excellent prewashing of carpets and moquette for recycling.
Hot washing
Our innovative hot washing system defibrates the material and guarantees a high-quality product by removing glue, calcium carbonate and other contaminants from carpets and moquette for recycling.
Our advanced system self-generates heat through friction, eliminating the need for external heating systems, and reaches internal temperatures up to 85°C for thorough cleaning.
Separation and drying
Thanks to our innovative technology, we are able to recover PA, PET and PP from carpets and moquette, achieving 95-98% purity.
After the separation process, the material is dried in our patented system, achieving a moisture content of less than 2% and ensuring a high-quality product, ready to be reused in the next production cycles.
