PET recovery and recycling with tailor-made lines
We offer our experience and expertise in recycling and converting processes, ensuring optimal valorization and recycling of post-consumer and post-industrial derived PET. Specifically, our PET lines are designed to recycle bottles and tubs. Our lines are specifically engineered to process the most challenging materials with high contamination levels, ensuring an excellent quality end product for food and non-food use.
Thanks to our state-of-the-art technology, we are able to obtain a final product suitable for food-grade applications.

Innovative PET washing
The configuration of a PET washing line can be very different depending on the contamination of the PET to recover. We stand out for our ability to design and devise customised lines.
Washing lines are divided into different stages according to the characteristics of the input material. In general, PET lines designed by Recy are divided into the following main stages.
Preparation, selection and prewashing
After bale opening, a dry-cleaning stage removes solid contaminants like sand, stones, and organic materials.
The next step involves our water-based prewashing system, which uses friction-generated heat to further eliminate contaminants, including labels, oils, grease, and metals, ensuring optimal preparation for sorting.
Hot washing
Our innovative hot washing system is designed to produce high-quality flakes suitable for bottle-to-bottle recycling.
Self-generating heat through friction, it eliminates the need for external heating systems, reaching internal temperatures of up to 95°C for thorough cleaning. This system efficiently removes impurities and inks with minimal chemical use, such as caustic soda and detergents.
Separation by flotation, rinsing and drying
In this phase, polyolefins are separated by flotation while PET sinks, directing it to the rinsing system where any remaining chemical additives are removed. Our continuous system, which operates with a constant supply of fresh water, guarantees a thoroughly clean material.
The innovative drying technology reduces moisture content to less than 1%, ensuring high-quality r-PET flakes without glue residues.
Processing of the product
We design customised solutions in order to best meet customers’ needs.
From waste, we are able to supply bottle-to-bottle flakes and flakes of excellent quality suitable for making various finished products.
