Recy goes beyond the limits of traditional recycling processes

New patented systems for innovative hot washing and excellent drying of all plastics, including flexible plastics.

Italian excellence serving the circular economy

In an era where sustainability is no longer an option but a necessity, Recy Technologies stands out as a benchmark both nationally and internationally in the plastic recycling sector. Founded with a clear and ambitious mission – to tackle one of the most urgent challenges of the circular economy – the Italian company has succeeded in turning a vision into an industrial excellence.

What makes Recy Technologies unique in the recycling landscape is not only the quality of its plants, but also the integrated, tailor-made approach with which it operates and its deep knowledge of plastics that have until now been considered difficult to recycle. In fact, it is not merely a machinery manufacturer: Recy is a true technological hub where engineering expertise, environmental vision, and innovation converge to create cutting-edge, customized solutions.

Each plant is designed through an in-depth analysis of the client’s specific needs and of the characteristics of the material to be processed, from the most easily recyclable plastics to the most complex. This ability to face any challenge has made Recy Technologies a reliable partner for companies and institutions committed to a truly sustainable future.

As evidence of its high level of innovation, Recy has patented an innovative hot-washing system and an excellent drying system suitable for all plastics, including flexible ones. This technology represents a significant step forward in the washing, drying, and preparation process of materials for recycling. Beyond improving plant efficiency, it concretely contributes to reducing the environmental impact of the entire production cycle.

In short, Recy Technologies is a jewel of Italian industry, capable of combining ingenuity, responsibility, and vision. It is a virtuous example of how business can be a driver of change, transforming one of the greatest challenges of our time – plastic recycling – into a concrete opportunity to build a better world.

No waste is to be discarded, every waste can become a resource

Recy Technologies establishes itself as the ideal partner for those who want to turn an environmental challenge into a tangible opportunity. The starting point is simple yet revolutionary: “Show us your idea, we discard nothing.” This is the philosophy that drives every project and every plant developed by the company.

Recy Technologies always starts with careful listening to the client’s needs. Every request, every type of material to be processed, every critical issue becomes the basis for designing tailor-made solutions capable of adding value even to the most complex scraps. Thanks to ongoing research and technological innovation, the company manages to turn what was once waste into a resource, simply by finding the right way to do so.

The company offers effective solutions for the processing of common plastics such as PET, HDPE, and PP, but goes further, successfully tackling even the challenges related to more complex plastics, including PO film, pulper waste, fishing nets, textile waste, carpets, Tetrapak, woven and nonwoven fabrics.

Innovation in Recycling: the innovative hot-washing system also for flexible plastics

In the field of plastic recycling, washing is a crucial stage to ensure the transformation of contaminated materials into high-quality secondary raw materials. It is precisely in this context that Recy’s technology comes into play: an innovative hot-washing system specifically designed also for flexible plastics, which have traditionally been more complex to process and largely neglected until now.

The core of Recy’s innovation lies in the use of a principle of heat generation by friction. The fully engineered system exploits the friction between particles of the same plastic material to generate internal heat, eliminating the need for external heating sources. This solution not only simplifies the plant but also enables better energy control and lower operating costs.

The washing process reaches temperatures of up to 85 °C, ensuring the effective removal of contaminants such as soil, inks, oils, organic residues, and odors. The combined mechanical-thermal action guarantees a superior degree of cleanliness compared to market standards.

Each washing unit is equipped with a dedicated control software that autonomously manages the entire production cycle: from initial material dosing to flow regulation and process parameter monitoring. This allows optimization of energy and water consumption while increasing the quality of the output.

The Recy system also stands out for its modularity. It is available in various configurations, adaptable both for rigid materials (with capacities ranging from 500 to 10,000 kg/h) and flexible materials (from 200 to 2,000 kg/h). Dimensions and installed power can be customized according to the client’s layout and production needs, making the plant highly scalable and flexible.

The complete removal of contaminants, the optimization of consumption, the reduced maintenance requirements, and the high quality of the output material enable the production of end-products suitable for upcycling, even from plastic fractions that, until now, were considered non-recyclable or destined for downcycling.

High-performance drying in mechanical recycling: Recy technology for flexible plastics

In the mechanical recycling process of plastics, the drying stage is crucial to ensure the quality and efficiency of subsequent operations. After intensive washing, it is essential to drastically reduce residual moisture in the treated materials, as the presence of water can compromise subsequent processes such as extrusion, while also negatively affecting the final properties of the regenerated product.

In this context, Recy has developed a patented machine for drying flexible plastics, designed to combine operational precision, structural reliability, and optimized energy performance.

The plant is engineered to ensure deep and uniform drying: starting from a moisture content of 25%, the innovative machine can reduce residual moisture to below 1% for flexible plastics. These values comply with the parameters required by technologies most sensitive to humidity, thus allowing the direct reintroduction of plastic material into production cycles, such as extrusion, without the need for further treatments or intermediate steps such as densification.

Every component of the machine has been designed to guarantee maximum operational reliability over time. The fully integrated electronic control system automatically regulates all phases of the drying process, constantly monitoring critical parameters and intervening preventively in case of anomalies, thus reducing the risk of plant downtime while optimizing energy consumption.

The Recy drying machine is available in several modular configurations, adaptable to the specific needs of recycling lines. Production capacities for flexible plastics range from 200 to 2,000 kg/h. This dimensional and operational flexibility allows integration both into large-scale industrial contexts and into compact, highly specialized lines.

The technical result is a plastic material with extremely low residual moisture, fully compliant with the standards required for direct reuse in industrial processes.
